I plan to hand draw the main characters in a variety of poses and the buildings, and then scan them into the computer, where I will trace over them and fill them in Photoshop. I will then put everything together in After Effects. I would like it to maintain a 2-D feel, so I do not plan to use any 3-D camera effects, though I would like to use light layers to give it more color depth. For the scenes in which he is twirling around on his out-of-control jetpack, I will create a mask layer for him to follow. I would like to experiment with walk cycles and a classical style of animation.

Final Project Treatment
My final project will be created primarily in After Effects and Photoshop. It is set in the future. A window washer, who wears a jetpack to work, washes the window of the same businesswoman every day. He tries to wave to her, but she never notices him. On this particular day, a button breaks and his jetpack flies out of control, flinging him around in circles and against the window. The entire time, the woman does not look up, and neither do the passersby on the street below. Finally the window washer is hurled through the woman's window. She continues to stare at her computer screen. He grumbles and waves his arms around in anger, then storms out of the office. She takes her headphones out of her ears and grabs a mug off of her desk, and turns to stand up, noticing the shards of glass and the gaping window washer-shaped hole in her window. Her mouth gapes open.
